There is an event in New York on Memorial Day weekend at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) called Dance Africa. Many artisans and vendors from across the globe will be selling all types of handmade crafts. There will also be a dance performance featuring a country from Africa. Last year the troupe from Uganda blew the crowd away. This year features dancers from Gambia, and some of us from Urbindimo will be there for sure.
